I run about 1200 miles a year, so good running shoes are very important to me. I had been using the Nike Air Equalon +3, which is a great running shoe, but after my third set (I replace my running shoes every 400 miles) I wanted to try something else and bought the Progird Hurricane 11 at my local running store. It was a good decision.

These running shoes are very comfortable and cushioned, stylish looking (I bought the white design), and have a nice medium arch for an overpronator like me (if you don't know what this means or how to determine what kind of feet you have, just do a Google search). While these are not better than the Nike Air Equalon +3, they do have a somewhat different fit since I seem to "feel" the road a little more, which I like, though this is a matter of personal preference.

I am very happy with these running shoes and recommend them. Like many running shoes, they run a little small, so you need to try these on and can't just go by your street shoe size.

Update February 9, 2010: I just bought my second pair of these since it was time to replace my old ones. I am still very happy with these running shoes. I bought them on Amazon for .00, which included shipping (I have Amazon Prime), and was the lowest price around. These running shoes list for 0.00, so the Amazon price is really good.

Based on my experience with this product during past 18 months, I recommend this product to everybody, including my colleagues at work. This is a great product and makes my shoes and boots much more comfortable. It's really easy to use, and you WILL feel the difference right away.

I'm in the Army and I run about 15~20 miles a week. My normal run is minimum of 3 miles and goes up to 10 miles. I run different routes everyday of the week and some are on paved streets and some are on dirt trails. My running shoes are Asics GT-2090 and 2100. I have normal arches and never had a foot problem until about 4 years ago when I first had plantar fasciitis and pain at the bottom of my heel. At that time, I had to stop running for 3 ~ 4 months and get a custom made footbed/sole for my combat boots from a doctor. But I hesitated running longer distance since then, until I found this product early 2004. Before that, I've tried probably at least 10 different types from Dr. Scholes products to gel pads, etc.

This product forms to the shape of your feet. So, I use this exclusively, for my combat boots, my running shoes, and my hiking boots. Earlier this year, I consulted Army podiatrist and she basically told me that this is probably the best one I can use short of getting more custom made soles from the hospital. But compared to the custom made soles I had, I find this product more comfortable. It provides a very good support.

This is really easy to use. You simply have to heat it up in an oven to make it malleable, take it out and slip it in your shoes and stand on it with your weight evenly distributed for a couple of minutes. It's much faster than trying to go see a podiatrist and waiting and getting custom made soles.

Bottom line is that even though this costs about half as much as my running shoes, this is well worth it. Definitely recommended.

I am a physician during the day and an avid basketball player at night. I never use the stock insoles that come with my nike basketball shoes. They just won't cut it. The Sole inserts are the best non-prescription orthotic grade insoles your can buy over the counter (internet). These will mold to your feet after heating them in the oven for a few minutes. The arch supports and padding are fantastic. They add to your balance and help to align your back and prevent foot injuries. I have at least 10 pair of these and I love 'em. They are the best.

I have worn every kind of orthotic insert since my first pair was custom made for me in 1963 by a foot doctor. Every pair I have tried since then has made my feet hurt more; until a salesperson at Copeland's Sporting Gds. told me about Superfeet back around 2000. I bought a pair of blue insoles and my foot pain went away. Over the next year I bought 3 more pair of blue, and one of black. Since the black insoles are thinner they work better in my dress shoes that are a little tight with the thicker blues...but both have worked for me equally well. I won't wear anything else...in fact I was looking for the the last source I had used previously to order a few more pair of black insoles when I came across this offering. The last time I paid .50 a pair. I bought 2 pair of new shoes today (Eccos and PR Lites), and the salesman tried to switch me from Superfeet to a new insole they were selling for .00 a pair...no way. When I bought my first pair back in 2000 I tried them on first at the store before I bought them, and they felt great from the get-go...so I would recommend trying them on first if possible. What works for one guy, may not work for another...but they are sure worth consideration.

I try to educate myself before I purchase anything out of the ordinary. I check into the reviews of several different shoe insoles and ended up purchasing these for my uniform military type dress shoes.

For the first few days in an office setting, the insoles seemed to be pretty good. With very little walking or standing performed, all was well. About a month later, while working at a different location which requires much more walking and standing for a few hours straight, the insoles almost made me want to hack my feet off. My feet were killing me and I had never had any other shoe or insole do this to me before. I swore never to wear them again while I was working at this location.

So, if you don't do a lot walking or standing, then these might work for you. Otherwise, I'd recommend trying something else.

I purchased this shoe after having my foot analyzed at the Expo for the Country Music Marathon. I was running in the Brooks Adrenaline. This shoe is like the Adrenaline only it has less stability and more flexability. It has worked much better for me. My feet dont hurt as much after my run. The flexibility has added much comfort to my run. Great shoe.
