Like all running shoes, reviews are 90% subjective. So just because this shoe works well for me does not mean it will work well for you.

If you are new to running, running shoes work like this: Try on a bunch, run on the ones that feel good and do not contribute to any aches or pains, and then stick with that model. These were the shoes that work for me. I have about 1200+ miles logged into 3 pairs of these series 8 shoes. And that is the reason I am not giving these 5 stars - you should get close to 500 miles a pair. I tend to get around 300 on these till they start to lose cushion and start hurting my knees. Which is actually not bad for someone 190lbs, 6'2", mild pronation, and 5 day a week runner who does not rotate shoes.

Nice shoes, comfortable, biodegradable (nice!), being an older series replaced by the 9's (which are awesome, just not worth more then these), and a decent buy at the "Today's deals" Amazon price.

One tip if you are new- buy a size larger then you think you are with ALL running shoes. I'm an 11 regular and I buy 12 regulars. Feet swell when you run and it's important that your toes do not rub/slam into the front of your shoes.

These are lighter than the Saucony Hurricane and perform very well for moderate stability running shoes. They dry out quickly and are a good value for the money. That was a lot of random comments, but overall, I really like them.

I recently had bunion surgery and was having heel pain--probably from favoring the front part of my foot. Since purchasing these shoes, I have had no further issues with my heel. They have been comfortable since I put them on. I will be buying Brooks shoes for their support and good fit from now on.

Buying this shoe online was nervous as it's an item that is pricey and you don't 100% know for sure if that shoe will fit - but it did, and I saved from the running store here in Denver. Awesome! The Adrenaline is just a dream shoe, and I've been wearing it now for about 7 years. It feels like you're running on clouds they are so light, and going back to any other shoe for any reason just feels clunky and weighted down. If you're wondering why on earth shoes cost this much, you really need to put on a pair and job a little bit to see. I'll be buying these shoes till I DIE.

I was really excited about this new shoe. I have been running in the Brooks Adrenaline series since 2002 and I have never had any issues with them. Many people complained about the GTS 9s, but I never had any problems. The GTS 10 is a very nice shoe, but it was too tight for me in my usual size. I wear a thick sock, so then exchanged it for a 1/2 larger (as recommended by other users). The larger size was too big. This was really frustrating. I ended up going to the mall and finding some GTS 9s and purchasing two pairs.

I have used Brooks running shoes for years. The Adrenaline series. My Adrenaline 9s needed replacement so I thought I would try the Glycerin 8, primarily because of the DNA feature.

Upon delivery I was disappointed to find that they seemed to be a half size smaller than the Adrenaline shoes and narrower. So much so that I had to return them.

I will probably just opt for the Adrenaline 10s now rather than keep ordering other sizes of this type to see if one fits.

This shoe was made for neutral style running. I pronate slightly in my left foot which almost disappears as I pick up the pace. So when I have too much arch support or not enough my knees will either ache on the inside or outside depending on which support extreme I'm running with. Especially after any distance more then 4 miles. After trying many different shoes in many different brands, I have found the Glycerins to be the best for me. I use these to train and race in from sprint triathlons to marathons. They are moderately light and last a really long time. Mine are size 10.5 and weigh in at 13.15oz. The last pair I had lasted over 500 miles and nothing fell apart on them. I've had shoes in the past were the sole would disconnect from the toe or the upper would rip. This doesn't happen with Brooks, they are very well constructed and worth the investment. And I love the black and yellow color scheme.

I also own the new Brooks Men's Launch Running Shoe which are lighter, exceptionally fast and fun to race in and they don't aggravate my knees either.
